Is Coaching For You? A Brief Questionnaire

Christi Hegstad March 4th, 2026

If you’ve been reading my newsletters, perusing my site, or have heard about coaching and wonder if it’s right for you, here are some questions to help you decide!

Are you…

* Wanting to achieve a goal or project, but it’s just not getting off the ground or moving at the pace you’d like?

* Feeling stuck in your career, leadership, or other aspect of life, and your strategies for getting unstuck aren’t working?

* Embarking on a new chapter – a different role, a startup business or nonprofit, or retirement, for instance – and want to be intentional as well as shorten your learning curve?

* Eager to define your leadership brand, strengthen your impact, develop those around you, and/or create a culture of meaningful engagement?

* Considering a change and want objective help mapping it out and thinking it through?

* Seeking practical strategies for purposeful growth, perhaps in areas like decision-making, communication, intentional time management, and achievement without burnout?

* Ready for something different, even if you don’t know exactly what that is yet?

* Tired of trying to figure it all out yourself?

If you respond ‘yes’ to one or more of these items, coaching might provide just the breakthrough you need. I offer a complimentary 20-minute Discovery Session to answer any questions, share my coaching process, and help you determine if one of my coaching programs – Introductory, Classic, or Transformational – is a good fit for you.

You don’t have to go it alone, and it doesn’t have to be so hard. For over 20 years, I’ve coached leaders, executives, nonprofit directors, small business owners, and other meaningful achievers to reach their goals in intentional, values-based ways. Whether you just need a few sessions to help you get started or a longer-term arrangement for ongoing support and accountability, I’d love to help you do the same!

If you’re seriously considering investing in your growth and development through coaching, email my office with ‘Discovery Session’ in your subject line and we’ll reply with a few dates and times for you to choose from. Let’s get your questions answered and help you onto a path of clarity, confidence, and meaningful action – with an experienced coach by your side!

Ask A Different Question

Christi Hegstad February 18th, 2026

This month my coaching firm celebrates 23 years in business.

Nearly every day of those 23 years, I have asked myself this question or some version thereof:

What will the world look like once I’ve finished changing it?

Followed by another question:

What will I do today to help make that vision a reality?

Friends, there is a lot going on in our world. We might look at the many challenges before us and feel stuck, uncertain, or void of any answers.

If so, maybe it’s time to try changing the questions.

In my recent Reading And Purpose article, I share a dozen or so questions to help you start shifting your perspective, opening up to possibility, and viewing things through a different lens.

If this sounds like something you could benefit from, feel free to subscribe and read the article here.

3 Questions For A New Month

Christi Hegstad February 5th, 2026

You’ll find the questions, as well as numerous examples for each to help get your thoughts rolling, in the Reading And Purpose newsletter. Subscribe and read here!

Planner Planning For The New Year!

Christi Hegstad January 22nd, 2026

While many of us rely on electronic planning to keep our work and lives running smoothly, I am also noticing more and more people looking for ways to weave analog practices back into the mix, too. Whether writing out top priorities for the day, creating a breakthrough map to solve a challenge, or simply getting thoughts onto paper in order to free up mental space, planners and journals can support our growth in all kinds of meaningful ways.

If you’d like planner and journal ideas to consider, check out my recent Reading And Purpose article here! I share my 2026 planner lineup, how I use each, and even some peeks inside their pages. I hope you find it helpful!

My Top 10 Nonfiction Books of 2025!

Christi Hegstad January 7th, 2026

I had a stellar reading year in 2025, particularly when it came to nonfiction! Out of the total 109 books I had completed when December 31 rolled around, 57 of them were nonfiction, and choosing my top 10 was not an easy task. Even when I also included five honorable mentions!

You can find my top 10 nonfiction books – as well as my top 10 fiction books, the key purposeful lessons I learned in 2025, how I’ve set up my planners and journals for the new year, and more – by subscribing to my Reading And Purpose newsletter here!

When You Waffle In Indecision

Christi Hegstad October 22nd, 2025

I used to spend waaaay too long waffling in indecision. I’d create endless pro/con lists and try to research every possible outcome, obstacle, and even slightly-remote reason for doing or not doing something. Then, immediately upon (finally! at last!) making a decision, I would instantly head into second-guessing, buyer’s remorse, and the never-ending land of what if.

If you can relate, my latest Reading And Purpose article may help! The practices and resources I share there have certainly helped me.

A Life With Clear + Healthy Boundaries

Christi Hegstad October 8th, 2025

When it comes to personal growth and professional development, a ‘one and done’ approach rarely proves effective. We don’t learn a time management technique, apply it once, and suddenly all of our challenges with time disappear forever. We don’t attend a communication training and never experience a misunderstanding again.

Same goes for setting and honoring boundaries.

If you’re feeling too many blurred – or overstepped – lines these days, come and join us at book club to discuss clarifying and honoring healthy boundaries! We’ll use Nedra Glover Tawwab’s book, Set Boundaries, Find Peace, as our launchpad for discussion. We meet next week and new members are always welcome!

You can find a reading + reflection guide, numerous questions to ponder, plus all the book club details in my latest Reading And Purpose newsletter here.

The Goal I Cannot Seem To Reach

Christi Hegstad October 1st, 2025

Each year for most of my adult life, I have set three Bold Goals for myself – goals that will typically take the bulk of the year to achieve. I have all kinds of smaller goals and projects as well, but my three Bold Goals – usually one professional, one personal, and one wherever I’m feeling it that year – are the ones that I break down into detailed action plans with milestones along the way, and that require consistent attention over the long term. They are the goals that mean the most to me at that particular time in my life, relate directly to my purpose, and help me prioritize my actions throughout the year.

I don’t always reach my goals, but I do tend to more often than not. And either way, I feel like I grow more and make more forward movement for having set them.

This year, however, I got stuck.

I share what’s happened – as well as what I’m doing about it – in my Reading And Purpose newsletter. Subscribe and read here!

Set The Stage For FLOURISHING

Christi Hegstad September 15th, 2025

Next year at this time, what do you most want to be able to say about your work, your life, yourself?

And the important follow-up question: How will you make that happen?

If you set goals but don’t seem to reach them,

or if you reach goals but they don’t seem to matter much,

or if you avoid goals altogether in an effort to avoid disappointment,

you’re not alone.

But what if you could change all that – simply by changing your method?

We’ve got just a little over 100 days left in the year – and even fewer before the hustle-and-bustle of the holiday season arrives. Which means now is the time to start planning for a bright and flourishing new year!

I’d love to help you do just that, while also finishing the current year confident and strong. If this sounds right up your alley, reserve your spot for a one-time Bold Goals Coaching Session today! You’ll find all the details here.
