Your 'why' tends to stay fairly constant; opportunities to express, honor, and fulfill it abound!

Clarity Kickstart:

In her excellent book, Practical Optimism, Sue Varma mentions receiving a plaque for her office with this quote on it. I love it when I come across a saying that speaks to me so deeply, in so few words!

Our purpose isn’t one role we play, one goal we aim to achieve, or one service we provide. Our purpose is ever present whether we’re at work, with family, out in the community, on a walk with a friend, or in line at the grocery store.

In my experience, our ‘why’ tends to remain fairly constant. How we express and fulfill it, however, can show up in different ways throughout our lives.

This week, pay attention to when you feel fully alive or ‘in the zone.’ Make note of times when you feel in just the right place at just the right time. The more we notice these types of moments, the more clues they give us into our values, passions, and purpose.

And perhaps take a deep, relaxing breath knowing that there isn’t ‘one right way’ or ‘one right role’ for you to live and work with purpose. Purposeful opportunities abound!
