Have you ever been helped by a clerk who was obviously “checked out” of her job, simply punching the clock but wishing she were somewhere (anywhere) else?
On the flip side, have you been served by someone who lit up the room with his energy, enthusiasm, and passion for what he does?
Where do you place yourself on that spectrum?
This week, decide to be fully engaged in your work – even if it’s not your ideal role. Ramp up your enthusiasm, look at the positives, and serve your clients with contagious positive energy.
Do this with no expectations – but note any changes that develop over the course of the week. You may just find you want to choose engagement the next week, too!
