Is Coaching For You? A Brief Questionnaire

Christi Hegstad March 4th, 2026

If you’ve been reading my newsletters, perusing my site, or have heard about coaching and wonder if it’s right for you, here are some questions to help you decide!

Are you…

* Wanting to achieve a goal or project, but it’s just not getting off the ground or moving at the pace you’d like?

* Feeling stuck in your career, leadership, or other aspect of life, and your strategies for getting unstuck aren’t working?

* Embarking on a new chapter – a different role, a startup business or nonprofit, or retirement, for instance – and want to be intentional as well as shorten your learning curve?

* Eager to define your leadership brand, strengthen your impact, develop those around you, and/or create a culture of meaningful engagement?

* Considering a change and want objective help mapping it out and thinking it through?

* Seeking practical strategies for purposeful growth, perhaps in areas like decision-making, communication, intentional time management, and achievement without burnout?

* Ready for something different, even if you don’t know exactly what that is yet?

* Tired of trying to figure it all out yourself?

If you respond ‘yes’ to one or more of these items, coaching might provide just the breakthrough you need. I offer a complimentary 20-minute Discovery Session to answer any questions, share my coaching process, and help you determine if one of my coaching programs – Introductory, Classic, or Transformational – is a good fit for you.

You don’t have to go it alone, and it doesn’t have to be so hard. For over 20 years, I’ve coached leaders, executives, nonprofit directors, small business owners, and other meaningful achievers to reach their goals in intentional, values-based ways. Whether you just need a few sessions to help you get started or a longer-term arrangement for ongoing support and accountability, I’d love to help you do the same!

If you’re seriously considering investing in your growth and development through coaching, email my office with ‘Discovery Session’ in your subject line and we’ll reply with a few dates and times for you to choose from. Let’s get your questions answered and help you onto a path of clarity, confidence, and meaningful action – with an experienced coach by your side!

Ask A Different Question

Christi Hegstad February 18th, 2026

This month my coaching firm celebrates 23 years in business.

Nearly every day of those 23 years, I have asked myself this question or some version thereof:

What will the world look like once I’ve finished changing it?

Followed by another question:

What will I do today to help make that vision a reality?

Friends, there is a lot going on in our world. We might look at the many challenges before us and feel stuck, uncertain, or void of any answers.

If so, maybe it’s time to try changing the questions.

In my recent Reading And Purpose article, I share a dozen or so questions to help you start shifting your perspective, opening up to possibility, and viewing things through a different lens.

If this sounds like something you could benefit from, feel free to subscribe and read the article here.

My Top 10 Nonfiction Books of 2025!

Christi Hegstad January 7th, 2026

I had a stellar reading year in 2025, particularly when it came to nonfiction! Out of the total 109 books I had completed when December 31 rolled around, 57 of them were nonfiction, and choosing my top 10 was not an easy task. Even when I also included five honorable mentions!

You can find my top 10 nonfiction books – as well as my top 10 fiction books, the key purposeful lessons I learned in 2025, how I’ve set up my planners and journals for the new year, and more – by subscribing to my Reading And Purpose newsletter here!

Set The Stage For FLOURISHING

Christi Hegstad September 15th, 2025

Next year at this time, what do you most want to be able to say about your work, your life, yourself?

And the important follow-up question: How will you make that happen?

If you set goals but don’t seem to reach them,

or if you reach goals but they don’t seem to matter much,

or if you avoid goals altogether in an effort to avoid disappointment,

you’re not alone.

But what if you could change all that – simply by changing your method?

We’ve got just a little over 100 days left in the year – and even fewer before the hustle-and-bustle of the holiday season arrives. Which means now is the time to start planning for a bright and flourishing new year!

I’d love to help you do just that, while also finishing the current year confident and strong. If this sounds right up your alley, reserve your spot for a one-time Bold Goals Coaching Session today! You’ll find all the details here.

Goals Gone Bad (And A Few Remedies, Too!)

Christi Hegstad August 13th, 2025

A few days ago, I reached into the refrigerator to grab the last remaining bit of spinach. According to the packaging, it had not yet reached its expiration date, but when I opened it up, the texture and – shall we use the word scent here – told a different story.

The end date hadn’t yet arrived, but the spinach was done.

Any chance some of your 2025 goals feel similarly?

If so, a) you’re not alone, and b) I’ve got some remedies for you. You’ll find them, as well as personal examples and book recommendations, in my Reading And Purpose newsletter. Subscribe and read here!

Making Work Meaningful

Christi Hegstad July 17th, 2025

** New Aug/Sept openings available in purpose coaching – learn more and enroll here! **

Twenty-two years ago, when I first started my business to help people engage in meaningful work and purposeful lives, I spent a lot of time educating organizations on the business case for supporting employees in finding meaning and purpose in what they do.

‘That sounds nice,’ I’d hear frequently, ‘but we’ve got more pressing issues.’

Nowadays, thanks to increasing research, numerous workplace studies, companies reeling from the costs of the ‘great resignation’ and ‘quiet quitting,’ and a generation of employees asking about meaning and purpose at work before they even sign on, smart businesses are already well aware of how creating an environment of meaning and purpose benefits them in countless ways. I’m still happy to educate, but I’m even happier that meaningful work has become part of the everyday ‘let’s take action’ conversation rather than the ‘wouldn’t that be nice’ one.

Whether you are the CEO of your organization creating a culture of meaning and purpose, a leader striving to help your team members know the meaning behind their work, or an individual wanting to make your own work feel meaningful, I’ve got some practical starting points for you in my latest Reading And Purpose newsletter – subscribe and read here!

Conducting A Mid-Year Life Inventory

Christi Hegstad June 18th, 2025

Somehow we have already reached the middle of the year. How is yours going so far?

I like to reserve an afternoon around this time of year to conduct a little review + planning session with myself. Essentially, I use this time to acknowledge, reflect on, and celebrate what the first half of the year has looked like, then to recalibrate, course-correct, or sometimes even cast an entirely new vision for the second half. A mid-year personal inventory, so to speak.

If you’d like to do the same but aren’t sure what to ask yourself, I’ve got a set of questions to help! You’ll find them in my latest Reading And Purpose article, which you can subscribe to and read here. Enjoy!

Priorities: What If *Everything* Matters?

Christi Hegstad December 11th, 2024

If someone asked you to define the word ‘priority,’ you probably could fairly easily. (Or you could look up a dictionary definition for help.)

But what if someone asked you to name your top priority?

How many things come to mind?

What if everything matters? How do you decide what matters more? What do you do about the things that you put off in favor of other things – or the guilt or pressure you feel in the process?

I tackle this topic in my latest Reading And Purpose newsletter, just in time for a fresh, prioritized start to the new year. You can subscribe to the newsletter and read more here!
