Meaningful Takeaways From Meaningful Books

I have recently read three incredibly meaningful books and am sharing my takeaways with you!

I’ve been on a meaning kick for about a month now. Well, I’ve actually been on a meaning kick for decades – I mean, it’s been part of my company name since 2003, included in my business tag line for just as long, and underlines pretty much everything I do. But over the past month or so, I’ve been reflecting on, researching, and reading abundantly on the topic of meaning and I cannot get enough.

I am a big believer that we don’t have to sit around waiting for meaning to arrive or thinking that a specific role or activity will suddenly bring the meaning. We can find, bring, and create meaning every day, right where we are.

And meaningful moments and experiences can add up to an incredibly meaningful life.

While I’ve read hundreds of studies, books, and articles on meaning over the years, today I’m sharing brief takeaways from three books in particular, all of which I’ve discovered in the last month or so. For each I’ll share what I consider the overall theme, my main takeaway, to whom I’d recommend the book, and a quote that stood out for me.

I hope one or more of these books speaks to you, too – please let me know if you have any questions or if you decide to read one of them!
