Coaching Tip For The Week:

What expectations do you hold of your team members, your support staff, your children?

What expectations do you hold of yourself?

I fully agree that, in most cases, people live up to our expectations of them. In a similar vein, our experiences live up to our expectations as well. If you expect to have a crummy day, guess what? You’ll find evidence to support that belief and you will, indeed, have a crummy day.

As we approach Christmas and the new year, elevate your expectations. Give those you lead the resources to live up to your expectations, then believe in them. 

While you’re at it, set expectations throughout your day as well: for a fruitful and efficient meeting, a conversation that deepens your connection, the effective completion of your top priority actions.

Believe, begin, become.
