Quarter In Review

“Everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you’re climbing it.”

Andy Rooney

Coaching Tip for the Week:

Quarter 1 ends in just a few days. Are your goals for the year on track? Have your days been focused and intentional? Are your actions imbued with meaning and purpose?

Whether you’re knocking your goals out of the park or not nearly where you thought you’d be, don’t just proceed forward without reflecting on these first few months of the year.

Success in work, leadership, and life is not like shampoo with a simple “wash, rinse, repeat” formula. We must pause, evaluate, and course-correct.

And we need to experience joy, meaning, and purpose along the way!

This week, set aside 30-60 minutes for a quarterly reviewGrab your yearly action plan, list of goals and milestones, planner, some blank paper, and a cup of your favorite beverage.

Then, either close your door or head offsite and evaluate Q1:

What has worked well? What hasn’t?

What do you need to start doing? Stop doing? Continue doing?

What milestones have you reached, and what has helped?

Where do you feel behind? What will you do to change that?

Hopefully you’ve been keeping track of your actions and results each week (if not, be sure to join us for an upcoming Run Your Day session!). If not, start now so you can set Q2 off in a positive, purposeful direction!
