Confidence isn’t walking into a room thinking you’re better than everyone else. It’s walking into a room and not having to compare yourself to anyone else at all.

Coaching Tip for the Week:
Be honest: How often do you find yourself in conversation or scanning your Facebook stream thinking, “They are so much funnier, smarter, active, more entertaining, better than me!”?
Comparing ourselves to others rarely leads to flourishing work and lives. Usually it provokes feelings of guilt, inadequacy, and envy – none of which brings us meaning and purpose.
The answer, while not necessarily easy, is quite simple: Don’t compare yourself to others.
Don’t even compare yourself to your previous self.
Instead, create your vision for your future, and live and work with that as your guide. Strive to be your best in – and enjoy – the present moment, knowing that you are laying the foundation for a bright and purposeful future.
This week, quit comparing. Any time you catch yourself thinking you’re not _____ enough (smart, active, creative – you fill in the blank), stop yourself. Repeat this 3-word sentence to yourself: “I am enough.” Do your best, honor your values, and know with complete certainty: you are enough.
